Bev Wiseman, from Twin Falls, is a self-taught acrylic painter. Her interest in painting began 25 years ago with a couple of tole painting classes. Lori Wright Mackert, from Twin Falls, brings to life alcohol ink watercolors. “People love watching the process,” she said. She began painting in 2016 as a healing outlet.” She will demonstrate her technique at the reception. Dobák Anna Olsen grew up in Hungary. The Twin Falls resident always loved to draw and paint but began using art to heal depression. She enjoys painting landscapes but says “the important thing is to make the painting colorful and vibrant as its vividness has an uplifting effect on me, and usually the people who look at my artworks.” Liyah Babayan is a mother, advocate, entrepreneur, refugee and now an author. Liminal, a refugee memoir is a glimpse into her own experience as a refugee. From tragedy to triumph, Liminal, a refugee memoir, is a journey of empowerment, acceptance, and appreciation for life after violence and chaos. Vivid is on display through April 5, 2019.
