Experience the splendor of Idaho’s rural landscapes with a special art show celebrating the diverse beauty of Idaho’s vast beauty.

After traveling across the Gem State during his 2019 residency, Carl has created a body of work that tells the story of rural Idaho. Carl’s contemporary paintings portray the rugged, muscular contours of Idaho landscapes and use the natural light that plays over their forms to emphasize their vast scale.

Come enjoy an exclusive look at Carl’s radiant paintings at this unique pop-up art show and hear from Carl about his artist’s journey.

ICL’s artist in residence program (AIR) explores the nexus of art and nature. Launched in 2013, the program exists to share the beauty of the places we work to protect and tell the Idaho story in creative new ways.

Deck the Walls is on display through January 16, 2020.
