Arts Council offers Art After School program

The Magic Valley Arts Council launches its Art After School program beginning September 8 with the series Create Your Own Comic. Classes are Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:00 pm for students in grades 1^st through 3^rd and Thursdays from 4:30 – 5:30 pm for students in grades 4^th through 6^th. Classes will be at the Twin Falls Center for the Arts, 195 River Vista Place. The cost is $6 per class for Magic Valley Arts Council Members and $8 per class for Not-Yet Members. Class fees include all supplies. A Family Membership is $55 and valid for one year.

Due to social-distancing practices, class size is limited to 10 students and masks must be worn.

If a student is unable to attend the Art After School classes in person an online option is available.

Upcoming classes are Harvest Moon Art Buffet beginning October 6 to coincide with the Full Moon Gallery’s exhibit Harvest Moon. The series will feature a variety of fine art and craft classes including painting, printmaking, and mixed media. Beginning November 3, the class series will be We Are Going to Deck the Walls, focused on works worthy of framing. December’s series is The Art of the Gift and will allow students to make gifts for giving.
